Harm is trained at the University of Amsterdam and got his Masters degree in Contemporary Art in 1999. After working at Sotheby’s in Amsterdam and London he joined the sales department of Reed-Elsevier publishers in Amsterdam.In 2001 he was asked to set up the European office for the Australian brand Room Interior Products and left the publishing industry. As managing director he was responsible for the introduction and development of the brand and company within Europe.
After five successful years Harm decided to leave the company and joined Dutch importer of Christmas decorations, pottery and home ware, Edelman.
Early 2006 he made the decision to join Jansen+co as managing director to take the young company Jansen+co to the next level.
In the Autumn of 2006, they launched their first Jansen+co collection of functional tabletop and home accessories. The designs are quirky and all products are truly original.
Jansen+co brings a new perspective to everyday objects!
Besides his day job Harm is still active in the art industry for several years as he is co founder of the yearly art event the Hans Brinker Budget Trophy. This exhibition and award promotes young painters from a variety of different international art schools.
